An idyllic setting in a Victorian greenhouse at the edge of gorgeous parkland, it’s only fitting that the Applestore caters to plant-based diets too. Lunch on vegan-friendly barm cakes with fillings such as hummus, roasted red pepper and spiced carrot, or start the day with these ‘healthy’ waffles which switch bacon for berries (and lashing of cream).

All dietary requirements are catered to at the Terrace with flair. Tuck into smashed avocados on sourdough with a poached egg and basil oil, or falafel pittas with soya yoghurt. Very vegan-friendly.

Vegetable-focused dishes in a heavenly kitchen garden at the edge of the Mendips. Expect kimchi and butterbean dip, and imaginative dishes such as roasted brassica tops, apricot labneh, pickled kohl rabi & smoked almonds. Booking recommended – it’s very popular.

A good selection of veggie dishes. They change regularly but might include chickpea and lemon soup and Moroccan spiced pancakes with poached egg, beetroot and avocado.
Based on the family’s organic veg farm, vegetables and herbs are picked from the field daily and conjured into lip-smacking feasts served at communal tables.
